Hello West Marine Broker Manager, I saw you become broker company on Turkey. West Marina put second hand used yahcts in İstanbul shop on window. Some yahct in Turkey and Some at European. You need be objective. You supportive ONE broker company in Turkey Premium Yat. We sell boats too. I saw advertising yahcts and I know yatch are copy advertisement from europa. Not exclusive and europa broker exclusive. You Dont have permission from europa broker. Not legal. You list illegal. Other Europa broker if know you ad illegal, they angry they are complaint. I dont understanding. West Marine is not ethic shop??? Our cutsomers buys paints and other things in your shop. We do not want and tell not buy from you. Because you worked with ONE broker company. We start boycott if Not equal chance. I thought In America you do not sold yahcts together one yacht broker. You are in Stock Exchange. Did your America customer knew about you brokerage in Turkey? Please stop broker. See pictures atachmen. Marina Setur Fenerbahce İstanbul Shop infront Divan Restoran. All yatch owners sees. Tell me why you are broker at Turkiye and not on America. Name of another customer added to my account, WM refused to remove.

When WM store clerk looked up my account by telephone number during checkout the name of another customer was on my account as well as my own name. On duty manager (one of the assistant managers) refused to remove that person's name from my account. I have had the same phone number for decades and showed proof of the number. I was told that it is my problem. They must have accepted an incorrect number from that person and never checked when he tried to open an account. I asked that the account be closed. All they did was remove my name which now leaves my phone number associated with another person. So much for protecting my personal data.

Harassment of employees and no customer service skills

I witnessed the store manager of the Olympia Washington West Marine harass and belittle an employee. The employee was only being pleasant and I enjoyed their attitude. I could not believe that a manager would ever tell someone to shut up because they are annoying them just by being upbeat and happy. The employee seemed happy to be there and happy to be helping me. I also noticed another manager talk down to the same employee. How is this not being addressed? This store never has ANY product on hand and the store manager seems to think that it is not that big of a deal because they can just "order it" and that is not how an business should be run. They even had the *** idea to close two hours early to do inventory while every other business waits for closing to do that.

Bought a outboard that was supposed to be a short shaft and is a long shaft

It has been a nightmare spent money on jack plate have transom damage.Will never spend another dime there. Am. a native of Clearwater and none of the charter captains around here go there because of prices I think only *** rich people go there because they don't know how cheap those things are in other stores it is on real what they charge for parts filters oil gas tanks anything to do with outboard engines is three hundred percent markup I would not buy so much as a fishing hook from West Marine ever and don't know anyone else that would buy anything from there either in the fishing community of Clearwater Florida

Kevin Pagan of Jumanji boat charters is a rip off! He sells expensive boat charters but doesn't show up and he has been doing this for years. I am familiar with your problem. As you know, the box was incorrectly labeled by Mercury and Westmarine sorted it out for you didn't they. I know that they made the exchange for you.

Horrible services in 3 locations

Absolutely worst customer service ever! Every location I go to the floor worker refers me to the guy in the back, "who knows everything". When I get to him and I ask for help I am told it is out on the floor. I have had the same experience in 3 different store. I have never had any help with actually locating part and just get passed from one employee to another and sent to find it myself. They will not even lift a finger. Will someone please open a boat parts store with real customer service. There is a real opportunity here.

Unprofessional Sales Clerks

I just returned from the West Marine Tracys Landing store #00180, 389 Deale Rd. Tracy Landing, MD and I must say the employee's and the manager are the most unprofessional sales clerks and I have ever came across. I was returning a bilge pump that I bought last month that didn't work anymore. I was told that it wasn't the one I bought in June? As they said it looked old? Which it was only 1 month old. I told them that was the only one I had and I couldn't help it if it looked old. They refused to give me a replacement or my money back until I said I will have local authorities come and sort this out. I had the original receipt, which when I bought it, a clerk told me to buy the extended warranty which I did and was back in the original box. To say the least, I will never buy anything from West Marine ever again as I see customer service is not what your organization supports. I let The Federal Trade Commission know my experience.

No hassle return is a joke.

I purchased a pair of shoes, paid cash and asked before they were purchased about returning them if they did not work out. I was told there would be no problem returning them and was told nothing about the return policy that I would be given a gift card. I was told on date of return that they did not refund more than $20.00 cash and I would have to take the gift card. I Do not care for gift cards. I paid cash and would not have done so if I had been told I would be stuck with one.

Store Manager Denies Return/replacement of RECALLED PFD

I bought an Automatic/manual inflating off-shore PFD (personal flotation device, a.k.a life-jacket) from West Marine in early 2002. I paid almost $300 for this PFD. The automatic inflator device needs replacement every five years, so in 2007, when the automatic inflator needed replacing, I brought the PFD to West Marine so that I could purchase a new device. However, the sales associates at West Marine looked up the model number, and told me that this product was discontinued and that the part I needed no longer existed, and that my very expensive PFD was no useless. HOWEVER, what this sales person failed to tell me was that the product had been discontinued because it was RECALLED. My $250 life jacket was recalled in August of 2002. So, for five years I while I was doing some very dangerous sailing outside of the USA and relying on this vest to save my life if I were to ever end up in the “drink”, the fact was this vest would not have worked unless I had used the emergency valve and blown it up with my mouth. This was not brought to my attention, although West Marine had all my contact information and purchase history, until early 2013. At this time I returned to West Marine in Point Loma, CA and explained my situation to the store manager. She was very rude to me, and told me all that she could do was to give me employee discount on a brand new vest. This was going to cost me $100 before tax for the cheap model that didn’t even have the features that the vest I originally had. I have spent thousands of dollars at West Marine over the past couple decades and this was the worst customer service I have ever had at any retail store anywhere! I will never shop at West Marine again, and will do my best to make this situation well known so that others know not to purchase from them as well. Thanks for wasting my time and money West Marine!

West Marine Distribution Center won't unload trucks in a timely manner

This is getting absolutely ridiculous. I've been delivering to the West Marine Center distribution facility in Rock Hill SC all this week, and have not gotten unloaded in under 4 hours.

Once they ignored me for 2 hours even though my truck was backed up to the dock. waiting for them to inspect the seal.

It's not like they are busy either. They have unloaded 2 trucks today since I arrived at 10 , and 4 others are waiting to be unloaded some having arrived at 8 .

Since the company I pull for refuses to charge them a "detention fee", they take their time getting to us.

I wonder if the entire West Marine Organization treats their customers this way too ? If so, I will not be doing business with them on that end.

I know that they realize that sitting at their docks cost my truck money.. but it doesn't see as if they care, they unload 1 truck, go on break.. make each truck sit there while they go through each item... even though the trucks have no access or responsibility to the "sealed containers"... but they make the driver wait while they go through everything...

if anything is wrong with the load, the drivers can't do anything anyway.. they just pull the containers from the port, to the distribution center.

They could very easily unload the truck in 30 minutes or less and let the driver get back to making his living ( the truck is not making money sitting still )... but NOOOOOO... they choose to keep the drivers sitting there for NO REASON...

I know where you are coming from, however most of their people are spread thin due to the fact they are preforming other jobs while trying to unload trucks as well. It's called mirco-management.

I worked there and you are talking about costing them money for the truck to sit there--I wish I had the money this company *** into the wind doing dumb things.... like this.

WEST MARINE: A BUNCH OF SCUZZY MEN!

I went into West Marine to purchase major components for my yacht. There was nobody in the store except for a young man sitting in the back room constantly touching his genitalia. I would have walked out just that second if it were not the only boat store that had my specific part. Already on edge, I ask if the man could be bothered to help me. He walked over to me about 5 minutes later and burped as he began to speak. I was pointed in the wrong direction and found a girl who was working in the back. I was told that the man who had helped me before was the MANAGER. It is mind boggeling the down fall of America. The young man went back to his computer which was playing explicit things, and the other girl proceeded to check me out. I have written a letter to the company and suggest change their employees VERY quickly. I am absolutely disgusted and will not be going to that store again. Next time I will drive the extra our to get to my destination just so I don't have to deal with that fat bafoon AGAIN!!!! YOU DISGUST LOMBARD WEST MARINE, YOU ARE ABSOLUTE FILTH!

West Marine hires absolute idiots to run their stores.

I am so sick of my local West Marine. Everytime I go in their *** store in Winter Haven, FL nobody can answer my questions... Not unless somebody calls the guy who used to manage the store, who they all have on speed dial evidently for when their current manager is not there. Of course forget about the current manager, he doesn't know his butt from *** in the ground, can't answer a technical question to save his life, and would rather talk to you till you can't breathe anymore about anything BUT what you just asked about... Why do these places skimp on employees? I could do better talking boats with wal-mart employees. I'm a "port supply" customer, and am taking my business to Defender- I get better pricing at their retail price than I do for West Marine's "wholesale" price. -Wayne

they prefer inexperienced college students to experienced employees because of the $ they have to pay. Minimum wage as opposed to $9 an hour. Does that explain it????
